I was reviewing some recent industry updates this week, and one trend stood out to me: Enterprise AI is finally moving from the “experimentation” phase into actual, daily execution within ERP systems.
We are seeing a distinct shift. AI is no longer just summarizing data or generating generic reports. Instead, AI agents are beginning to take tangible actions within real workflowsโlike automating complex manufacturing changeovers or handling routine procurement tasks.
But here is the part that resonates most with me, and it validates a lot of what I believe about technology: recent data shows that only about one-third of enterprises have actually delegated meaningful, autonomous work to AI agents so far.
Why the hesitation? Because the bottleneck isnโt the AI itself. It is what we have always known to be true: data quality, process clarity, and governance. You cannot automate a messy process and expect a miracle.
This is exactly why I am so focused on the intersection of practical business logic and emerging technology. The future of ERP isnโt about which platform has the longest list of AI features. It is about whether a business has the trusted foundation, clean data, and clear accountability required to let those features actually deliver value.
We are moving from hype to execution. And that is a very good thing.
